Goobjoog Information Centre, based in north London, aided by a Fast Forward Grant delivered an 'A+ Preparation Course', consisting of training in computer hardware and software skills.
The three-month grant allowed the project to train 15 trainees from black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) groups. The beneficiaries had a basic knowledge of ICT but sought a formal qualification in the area so as to be able to pursue a career within information technology sectors.
All of the students gained vital experience through the course of the project and have praised the project for the opportunities they were provided with. Many are now pursuing further studies at a local college.
