Haringey Guarantee Project

The Haringey Guarantee was designed to be a long term strategic commitment to tackling worklessness and low skill levels for residents within the London borough of Haringey.

The programme is run by the Haringey Council on behalf of the Haringey Strategic Partnership (HSP) and links the services of employers, schools and colleges, skills training providers, employment services, job brokers and the local community. This programme was renewed in April 2009 and it will continue to deliver this support until March 2011.

What we have delivered?

• we have monitored the providers and audited their outputs, allowing us to compile quarterly reports which are consistent, timely and accurate
• we have devised a robust output model to record performance and calculate subsequent payments to providers
• we supervise the complete financial management of the programmes, controlling the amount paid to providers
• through our knowledge of employment programmes, we encourage partnership working at feedback sessions at providers meetings
• we feedback to Haringey Council on any delivery or procedural concerns
• due to our experiences in contract management we can often suggest how processes can be improved.

In addition to our monitoring contract, GLE have also been commissioned to deliver capacity building training sessions to our client and their providers.
