Exhibit at Gulfood 2012

UKTI is taking 12 eligible London-based food and drink companies to exhibit at Gulfood 2012.

Established 24 years ago, Gulfood remains the Middle East’s leading and largest food, drink, foodservice and hospitality exhibition. With over 3,500 companies from over 81 countries, Gulfood 2010 attracted a record 55,000 trade buyers – representing an 18 per cent increase in visitor numbers from the previous year.

Gulfood was a sell out in 2010 with over 350 companies on the waiting list to exhibit – demonstrating the value placed on the exhibition by companies wishing to access key business opportunities of the region. This international food showcase has the magnetic qualities to deliver key buyers to exhibitors.

UAE imports over 80 per cent of its food products, of which around 50 per cent are re-exported to Gulf Cooperative Council countries, the Indian subcontinent and Eastern Africa. The key to Gulfood is that it attracts buyers from such a wide audience not only from the Gulf region, but effectively from Turkey to India.
