GLE oneLondon Win Innovation in Technology Award

GLE oneLondon were awarded the Innovation in Technology category at the Community Development Finance Association's Innovation Awards.

GLE oneLondon was a key delivery partner in a Royal British Legion project, supporting ex-military personnel to plan, fund, start or grow their own small businesses. Successful funding applicants have received business mentoring too.

The nationwide coverage of the project required GLE oneLondon to provide services beyond its traditional operating area in London.

The award recognised the team's use of cutting edge video conferencing technology and a bespoke web-based mentoring application, which have provided all the benefits of a face-to-face meeting.

By reducing travel costs and time for applicants and GLE oneLondon’s funding panellists, the team have been able to extend their geographical reach and increase the size of their customer base.
