City Action, a flagship initiative of the Corporation of London, engaged City firms in the development of and implementation of practical activities which enabled them to contribute to the economic and social regeneration of the seven boroughs adjoining the City: Camden, Hackney, Islington, Lambeth, Southwark, Tower Hamlets and Westminster. City Action pinpointed community activities which matched the resources, skills and aspirations of City firms and linked them with the most appropriate community based organisations.

Over the 12 months of the project, City Action matched 68 community organisations with 600 volunteers from corporate firms.
