Fair and Organic

Fair and Organic logoThe Fair and Organic project supports and develops refugees or recent arrivals from African or Latin American countries who are, or would like to be, involved in the food industry. Alongside helping these individuals to achieve a healthy balanced diet, and addressing the traditional food needs of specific groups and the London food agenda, the project is also promoting green and fair trade products.

What the project provides:

• Sector-focused English as a Second Language (ESOL) and Skills for Life training.
• Accredited food hygiene training.
• Business training and one-to-one business advice and support.
• Information on organic and fair trade products and services.
• Specialist workshops (covering food hygiene, food laws and the food business).

Alongside our partners, GLE oneLondon is providing specialist support in the food and fair trade sector and understanding international trading. For further information please email Juegen on juergen.b@gle.co.uk

Fair and Organic workshop, 2nd June 2008

If you are considering trading in the food sector why not try Fairtrade?

Fairtrade sales have shown a 41 per cent year-to-year increase so it is a market worth considering. Particularly as Fairtrade works with disadvantaged producers and helps them move from a position of vulnerability to economic self-sufficiency.

GLE oneLondon are always interested in new markets and in helping people start or grow their small businesses. This workshop will answer your questions such as: What is Fairtrade and how does it work? Opportunities and Threats? Procedures? Trading partners? Fair price? Environmental practices and responsible methods of production?

For more information, or to book your place, please contact Juergen at juergen.b@gle.co.uk or 020 7940 1525
