Alpine Way, Newham / Photo: GLE Alpine Way Newham GLE provides small and medium sized businesses units for sale and/or rental. As part of Beckton Gas Works, Alpine Way started out as a contaminated derelict site and had laid bare for many years. GLE Property Developments bought the three acre site and developed 63,000 sf in two units of new high quality high bay industrial/warehouse space. One of the units was pre-sold to Workspace Group plc for on-letting to one of their London based tenants, a clothing distributor, EMT. The space we developed allowed EMT to consolidate and enlarge their business having outgrown their previous premises. The remaining 28,500 sf GLE let to a contract storage company called ADS. ADS grew significantly at their Alpine Way unit and raised their profile so much they were later acquired by TNT UK Ltd. These developments bring real economic and employment opportunities to previously neglected brownfield sites through physical regeneration to London’s boroughs. </body> </html>
