Fast Forward Grants programme
Fast Forward Grants, the London ESF Global Grants Programme, provides grants up to £10,000 to small voluntary and community organisations, or other non-governmental organisations, to run projects which will help unemployed people move towards employment.
The grants are targeted at those who face the most difficulty in entering the labour market, particularly people with disabilities, lone parents, ex-offenders, black and ethnic minority groups and refugees.
Application is through a simple application form which must demonstrate that the project meets five eligibility criteria:
Part of the application form will be scored with higher priority given to projects delivering skills training.
When a grant award is approved by the partnership, full funding is provided, no match funding being required or allowed, and grants are paid at the start of the project not in arrears.
Funding in 2006-07 was provided by the London Development Agency and the London borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and the London borough of Bromley.
The Fast Forward Grants Programme is managed and supported by GLE, under contract to the Government Office for London. Occasional publications and notices of events are also posted on this site.
