Madeleine Williams

Madeleine Williams was director of major events for the GLC and deputy chief executive of the ALG before establishing the London Development Partnership in 1998, before moving to GLE in 2000. Madeleine opened London’s first Brussels base in 1994, and has developed co-operation on urban issues by co-ordinating London delegations to Brussels, Barcelona and Berlin. Madeleine directed The London Study, a research project on sustainable urban development funded by the Commission and key London partners, and has been involved in EU projects on Anti-Racism networks, Policing the Internet, Urban Indicators and Sustainable Cities.

Delphine Michel

Delphine manages the GLE office in Brussels where she mainly supervises the European service provided to the London Councils and manages a European interregional cooperation project called “the European Learning Network”. Delphine has several years experience of all aspects of European institutional affairs, policy development, funding and programme and project management. Before moving to GLE PMC Brussels, she was leading the international contracts team in GLE PMC London. She also coordinated the Phare Partnership Programme Technical Assistance Unit in Brussels, worked in Greece on EU funding partnerships between Western and CEEC and in France on the implementation of the structural funds at the regional and local level. Delphine holds a Ph.D in European and Administrative Law. She is a native French speaker and also speaks English and Greek fluently.

Nathalie Guri

Prior to joining GLE, Nathalie worked for the Association of French Local Authorities (Cités Unies France) in Paris and in the EU Programmes Coordination Unit of the Czech Ministry of Finance and the Czech Ministry for Regional Development in Prague. Nathalie has post-graduate degrees in European Project Management and in Czech Language and Civilisation. She is a native French speaker, is fluent in English and Czech and also speaks Russian and Albanian. Nathalie specialises in work within central and eastern Europe, especially in the Czech Republic where Nathalie heads up GLE’s Prague office.

Louise Edwards

Louise is responsible for the management of programme management contracts in the London office along with her colleagues. Louise is experienced in programme and project development, management and evaluation. She has a track record in community capacity building and consultation; funding strategies, bid writing and project appraisal; and in writing feasibility studies and business plans. Working with her team, Louise develops and provides bespoke training programmes in all aspects of regeneration project and programme management for GLE clients. The team also provide one-to-one and programme level organisational support to organisations delivering on behalf of the public sector. She has several years experience as a senior consultant. She has a BA in Geography and Social Sciences from the University of Sussex and is currently completing an Msc in Urban and Regional Planning at the London School of Economics.

David Moynihan

David Moynihan is the lead manager on area-based regeneration work. David was a senior manager at New Cross Gate New Deal for Communities (NDC) between 2003 and 2006 and has over 12 years of regeneration experience. David has been a regeneration practitioner in a variety of different contexts including a rural seaside town in Lincolnshire, a former coal mining village in Warwickshire and in a Thames Gateway outer London Borough. While at New Cross Gate NDC he was responsible for strategy, equalities, partnership governance and community development. David holds a BA in Urban Development from Leeds Metropolitan University, and an MA in Urban Regeneration from the University of Westminster and co-authored two publications while a researcher at the University of Nottingham.

Stephen Boon

Stephen is an experienced project and programme manager who heads the London Councils ESF programmes team at GLE. Stephen also delivers a range of consultancy support for clients such as the LDA and local authorities. He gained a MA (Distinction) level in European Affairs from the University of Lund and also holds a BA in European Studies and French from King’s College London and the London School of Economics. Stephen speaks French and Swedish.

Emma Drever

Emma leads a range of consultancy, research and evaluation projects, and has a specific focus on regeneration policy. She has evaluated employment programmes for the LDA, and has advised the European Commission on how to promote enterprise, entrepreneurship and innovation in deprived urban areas. Emma has also researched the impact of community regeneration funding in London, and has advised London Councils on future priorities in this field. She has just completed an MSc in advanced social research methods with statistics at City University, and has a first class honours degree in Modern European Studies from UCL. Emma speaks fluent French and Spanish.

Durmish Guri

Durmish works in the Prague office. He develops contracts and projects in the field of the enterprise development and business support. Durmish also promotes GLE expertise through meetings and participating in various events in the Czech Republic. He holds a Master’s degree in International Trade with specialisation in central and eastern European countries at the Institute of European Studies in Paris. He is a native Albanian speaker, is fluent in French and English and can also speak Greek.

Clare Sharpen

Clare is responsible for delivering the London Innovation Network on behalf of the European Commission and London Development Agency. Clare leads on developing and managing capacity building projects for the London Development Agency, and in delivering training and organisational development work. Clare is a director of a London-based social enterprise and has published research on social enterprise. Clare holds an MSc in Development Management from the Open University and MA in Social Anthropology from Cambridge, is a member of the CIPD and a qualified trainer.

Rachael McCorriston is a European policy specialist with particular interest in European Social Fund projects and programmes. Rachael spent four years in the Secretariat General of the European Commission in Brussels as a researcher on a wide range of EU policy issues. Rachael is fluent in French and also speaks German and Spanish.

Clare is project manager for the London Development Agency ESF Opportunities Fund Capacity Building Project. The project promotes a range of capacity building services to the 94 funded organisations to ensure successful delivery. She has previously worked in the voluntary sector for over three years. Clare has a BA (Hons) in Comparative Religion from the University of Manchester and has recently completed her City & Guilds 7407 Stage 2 Certificate in Further Education Teaching.

Ben is Project Manager of the London Councils- ESF ‘capacity building’ project, working with and offering support to 31 community and voluntary organisations across London. This includes delivering training, research work, developing assessment tools, offering informal advice, and giving third- sector organisations a voice at strategic level. Ben was previously Project Support Officer on the LDA-ESF capacity building project. Ben has a background in affordable housing, and has an MSc in Housing and Regeneration from London School of Economics with distinction. He also holds a BA Hons in English with Film Studies from the University of Warwick. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CiH) and is currently learning Portuguese.

David is the Assistant Programme Manager for the Childcare Affordability Programme, which is aimed at making childcare in London more affordable for lower income families. He has a BSc in Biological and Computational Sciences from Manchester and an MA in European Union Politics from Liverpool, and has experience of working in both private and public sectors.

Eleanor is a project support officer at GLE, undertaking research and providing tailored support to a range of third sector organisations and local authorities to help them meet their contracted outputs for the London Councils NRF ESF programme. Eleanor has also supported those organisations who have received LDA ESF funding and carried out a number of project evaluations for small organisations and borough wide projects. She has an MSc in Environmental Rehabilitation from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and University of Western Australia, Perth; and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.

She has several years experience in a development capacity developing staff and infrastructure and has previously worked in areas of fundraising. She completed a BA Hons in Economics and Politics and MSc in Housing from LSE.

He works to support voluntary and community groups in west, east and central London area. Recruitment was one of his main communicative areas. He has a wide ranged of experience in communicative roles in a variety of sectors and gained a BA (Hons) Communication Studies in Nottingham.

Janina is a project support officer at GLE, undertaking research and providing tailored consultancy support to third sector organisations as part of GLE’s capacity building project funded by London Councils - ESF. Prior to her role at GLE, Janina worked as a political researcher for an MP in the German Parliament, with a focus on public health and social security. She holds an MA in International Relations from Freie University Berlin; an MA in Communications from Goldsmiths College and a BA Hons in Philosophy from the University of Sussex. Janina speaks fluent German.
