Martin Large, GLE Group Chief Executive

Martin Large is GLE Group's Chief Executive Officer. Martin leads the executive committee and is responsible for all Group operations, sitting on the boards of or representing the Group’s interests in all of the subsidiary operating businesses. He is also chairman of the Group's SME cash flow finance company.
Martin joined the Group’s property business in 1990, to specialise in property development and investment for smaller and medium sized businesses. He became Managing Director of GLE Properties in 1996, and was responsible for increasing significantly the scale of operations and profits derived from property activities. In 2000 Martin took the role of Group Chief Executive Officer.
Martin has over 30 years experience in regeneration and commercial property development and investment, gained in both the public and private sectors and he is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Mike Walsh, GLE Group Financial Director

As Group Financial Director, Mike is responsible for the strategic financial support of four key business areas including property development, finance for business managing over £300m of VC investment funds and the provision of business advice and training.
Mike joined GLE Group in 2010, having worked for 25 years in the financial services sector and qualifying initially as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Since qualifying, he has worked mainly in the asset management sector with Invesco /LGT as Group Financial Controller and has held senior CFO and COO positions at Credit Suisse Asset Management's UK business, Deutsche Asset Management Europe and Barclays Global Investors European and Asia ex Japan businesses.
Most recently, Mike was Global Chief Operating Officer at Apax Partners, the major private equity group.
Chris Rushton, Managing Director GLE Properties

As Managing Director of GLE Properties, Chris is responsible for the Group’s property strategy including its development programme and investment portfolio. He joined GLE Group in 1997 having previously worked in both private and public sector organisations, including Eagle Star Properties. Chris has a strong background in commercial property development, property asset management and regeneration, and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Peter Thackwray, Managing Director GLE Enterprise Development

Peter Thackwray is GLE's Director of Enterprise Development, and a Group Board Director. He leads on enterprise support, loan finance and international trade.
Peter heads the management teams delivering UK Trade & Investment's international trade services in both London and the South East of England. GLE Enterprise Development also includes GLE oneLondon, a not-for-profit enterprise development arm, specialising in reaching 'hard-to-reach' groups through a variety of business support services helping thousands of people every year.
Peter is a director of early-stage equity provider, London Peter is a director of early-stage equity provider, London Seed Capital, and a small time business angel. Peter has nearly 30 years experience in enterprise development, 16 with GLE, having joined the Group in 1995.
Madeleine Williams, Managing Director GLE Consulting

In a 20-year career at senior level in London, Madeleine has worked for the Greater London Council and the ALG (now London Councils) before moving to GLE. She has led major London projects such as setting up the London Development Partnership, London’s first Recycling Scheme and the Capital’s successful lobby for EU funding.
Madeleine has a strong European perspective in her work, working closely with EU institutions, and has led London's partnership working with other cities. She set up London House in Brussels 1994, and has developed co-operation on urban issues by co-ordinating London delegations to major European cities.
Madeleine directed The London Study, a research project for the European Commission that served as a model for projects in Berlin, Leipzig, Marseilles and Vienna. She has directed several EU projects including the European Learning Network on enterprise in deprived urban areas and a study of population mobility in European cities.
Madeleine sits on several bodies including the London European Programmes Committee, the Objective 3 Advisory Group, the Stockwell Urban management committee. She has advised the European Commission, the Committee of the regions and several Government departments.
