Communications Coordinator
Location: London Bridge SE1
Salary: £18,000

GLE is seeking an enthusiastic individual with the ability to multi-task to support our Communications Officer.

The Communications Coordinator will need strong interpersonal skills and the vision to help implement a communications strategy which disseminates GLE’s work to a wide audience of stakeholders. The position will involve press and publicity work, internal communications, and assisting in arranging both stakeholder and staff events.

As an economic development company, GLE brings a unique mixture of commercial know-how and public policy to delivering economic development in the capital. Our services cover a wide range of activities aimed at encouraging regeneration from accommodation, advice and financial support for small businesses to research, delivery and evaluation of urban regeneration programmes.

Business Development Manager, Retail and Wholesale Loan Funds
London Bridge
Salary: up to £30,000

GLE oneLondon is the leading lender of last resort small business loans in London, specialising in working with businesses from socially and economically disadvantaged groups traditionally overlooked by mainstream providers.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to focus on two of our core funds. The role will involve marketing our services to new and growing businesses, and also identifying and recruiting retail lenders for the Wholesale fund, which provides lending capital to locally-run small business loan funds across London.

The role will furthermore involve management of an LDA subcontract, as well as the management of our small business mentoring scheme, which matches borrowers with appropriately skilled mentors to provide business support that will assist the business to grow.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, with a solid track record in partnership development and a results-orientated approach. The ability to develop positive working relationships with a wide range of people, as well as excellent communication skills and strong numerical abilities are vital for the role.

Part-time Childcare and Employment Adviser
London
£32,000 pro rata

GLE is looking to recruit a part-time Childcare and Employment Adviser in Greenwich, to support an innovative project which aims to bring together childcare and employment expertise to provide advice to parents seeking to access training or employment in London. Working in a challenging but rewarding environment, the adviser will provide intensive support to parents on a one-to-one basis, providing advice on accessing affordable childcare and suitable training and employment opportunities.

Key requirements:

• Experience of working on a one-to-one basis with varied and challenging client groups
• Knowledge of the range of employment and childcare benefits/support available to parents
• Experience of providing training in small groups
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing, including writing reports and updating parent action plans
